Outside the Mennello Museum of American Art is a modern-art sculpture garden on the lake which you can walk around for free. The Orlando Museum of Art is in a museum park called Loch Haven Park where you can find the excellent Orlando Science Center, which is especially nice for kids, and the Mennello Museum of American Art which contains a room of colorful folk art by Earl Cunningham which is fun to see. I saw a large exhibit by Maya Lin that were truly inspiring. The traveling exhibits can be fantastic at this museum. They are so beautiful, and from so long ago! I had never seen archaeological objects from these countries before. Inside there is a fascinating exhibit of Peruvian and Costa Rican objects, such as jewelry, goblets, and architectural decorations, made of gold, stone, and turquoise. Outside there is a fountain and an unusual set of sculptures, like people standing oddly around. Orlando Museum of Art is in a modern building with large windows.
